This post contains spoilers from Age of Attraction episodes 1-5.

Key Points -

Netflix's new dating show features age-gap couples, including Theresa, 54, and John, 27, and Vanessa, 49, and Logan, 29.

The series aired audio from several intimate moments.

Both Theresa and Vanessa talk to EW about reliving the show.

Netflix's new age-gap dating experiment doesn't hold back when it comes to sex — whether the cast was ready or not.

After meeting their castmates on a dating "retreat," cameras follow six couples who form connections without knowing each other's ages. Once they feel like they're falling for one another, they enter the "promise room" to learn their age gap. The duos then move in together to explore if "love is truly ageless."

"As far as the structure goes, we didn't know anything," 26-year-old Chris, who forms a connection with Leah, 41, tells Entertainment Weekly.

"We had no clue," 43-year-old Derrick, who is 20 years older than partner Pfeifer, says. "I just thought it was like, 'Hey, we're gonna date, see if it works.' When [hosts] Nick and Natalie said that we were moving in two weeks, I literally called my job and I was like, 'I'll be back home.' I'm like, 'That's not happening. I'm not doing that.'" (Spoiler alert, he moved in.)

Cohost and former Bachelor Nick Viall tells EW that the series played coy on some details to capture their honest reactions to the experiment, which later includes their families meeting their partners.

"When it comes to reality TV, a good reveal is a great moment," Viall says. "They're not actors, at least they're not supposed to be, and you wanna see people's most authentic moments. You wanna see the surprise. You wanna see them processing, 'What does this mean?' We got a lot of the reactions we were hoping for."

While living in the apartments, the show captured intimate moments, including hearing Theresa, 54, and John, 27, have sex.

When asked about being so "open" on the show about sex — and mics in the bedroom — Theresa says, "I didn't realize I was open about that actually. [But] it's part of love, right? It's a natural byproduct."

The mother of three (whose eldest son is older than partner John) adds that she is "horrified for my kids to actually see anything related to that."

There's also a moment where fans hear Vanessa, 49, and Logan, 29, in the bedroom, during which Vanessa explains, "women are ovens and men are blowtorches so women need to be warmed up first."

"That was kind of a sensitive topic for us on the show," Vanessa tells EW. "We were nervous about how that was gonna be portrayed, but at the end of the day, we love each other and that's just part of it. I'm embarrassed for my dad to watch."

The most controversial couple on the show — 60-year-old Jorge and 27-year-old Vanelle — struggle with her decision to be celibate before marriage. The pair are heard in the bedroom discussing "oral intimacy," something she says is okay.

Natalie Joy, who cohosts the show with husband Viall, tells EW that they are "grateful and loved that [the cast was] so open" about sex.

"We love how true Vanelle is to her celibacy. I think that's something that means a lot to her, and I love that she shared that," Natalie says. "Vanessa, I love that she is sex positive and she is like, 'This is what I want. Give it to me. Where are you? What's going on?' It just speaks to so many different people who are also in those camps as well and gave kind of representation where it needed to be."

Age of Attraction drops new episodes Wednesdays on Netflix.
