We often plan our days, our weeks, and sometimes even our entire month down to the minute, thinking that having everything mapped out will make life smoother. And sure, planning helps us stay on track, meet deadlines, and feel in control. But let's be honest: some of the best moments happen when things don't go according to plan. That random coffee with a friend, an unexpected laugh, or stumbling upon something new can make life feel a little brighter.

Speaking of randomness, 2025 was full of bizarre, unexpected moments that made the year unforgettable. One of the biggest headlines? Pop star Katy Perry jokingly "going to space," which immediately sent social media into a frenzy. People couldn't stop sharing memes, creating jokes, and imagining what it would be like if celebs actually took intergalactic vacations. Between concerts, awards, and casual internet chaos, it felt like the world had cranked up the volume on weird and wonderful moments. Every scroll through your feed brought another surprising story or viral clip that kept everyone talking.

Then there was the infamous 6–7 meme that had everyone on the internet losing it over pure randomness. It started with a simple clip of someone miscounting or a hilariously offbeat moment, and suddenly, the phrase "6–7" became an inside joke everywhere. People started captioning everything from pets to celebrity fails with "6–7," turning ordinary pictures into absurdly funny memes. It spread like wildfire, popping up on TikTok, Instagram, and Twitter, with people remixing it in endless ways. What made it so hilarious was the complete lack of context.

And who could forget that unforgettable kiss cam moment at a Coldplay concert? The clip went viral instantly, sparking everything from memes to reaction videos, and people everywhere were debating who leaned in first. What was supposed to be a fleeting moment became an internet sensation, shared, remixed, and joked about endlessly. Even people who weren't at the concert felt like they were part of the fun. It was one of those rare moments where the internet collectively gasped, laughed, and bonded over a single frame of video.

Then came the Louvre heist, which honestly felt like a scene straight out of a blockbuster movie. The audacity, the drama, the suspense—it had everyone glued to social feeds and news headlines. People speculated endlessly about how it was planned, who was involved, and what could have gone wrong. It was cinematic, chaotic, and almost unbelievable, leaving everyone shaking their heads in disbelief. Stories like this reminded us that sometimes real life is just as wild as fiction, if not more so.

Hair-based toothpaste made waves, and yes, it's exactly as strange as it sounds. Researchers at King's College London discovered that keratin from human hair could help repair and protect tooth enamel. The treatment forms a dense, crystal-like layer that seals off exposed nerve channels, potentially reducing sensitivity and strengthening teeth. Weird, a little gross, but undeniably clever, it made people stop and think about just how inventive science can be.

And finally, there's the wild new color called "olo," which exists somewhere between blue and green but at a saturation our eyes can't naturally perceive. To actually see it, you need a very specific laser setup that targets certain M cone cells in your eyes. It's a color that teases reality, showing how limited our natural perception really is. You know it exists, but without high-tech tools, it's invisible.

Well, 2025 certainly had its fair share of randomness, from intriguing discoveries to viral moments that left us scratching our heads. First lady Melania Trump to preview new film at White House screening

First lady Melania Trump will host a private White House screening on Saturday, Jan. 24, of a new film documenting her life in the 20 days leading up to President Donald Trump's second inauguration, an adviser said.

The movie, "Melania," is set for a global release on January 30. Saturday's showing will be the first time the president, her family and close friends see the film in full, according to Marc Beckman, the first lady's outside adviser and agent.

The film offers rare behind-the-scenes access to the first lady, who has kept a low public profile during her husband's second term.

The trailer opens on Inauguration Day in January 2025, showing her donning a navy wide-brimmed hat for the ceremony at the U.S. Capitol. It also depicts her role as an adviser to the president, including a moment in which she encourages him to emphasize "peacemaker and unifier" in his inaugural address.

Beckman, who produced the film, oversaw the $40 million movie deal with Amazon's MGM Studios, plus a follow-up documentary series set for release later this year focusing on some of Melania Trump's priorities, including children in foster care.

Melania Trump is back in office, accompanying her husband, President Donald Trump, during his second term in the White House as the 47th president of the United States. The first lady made many a fashion statement during Trump's first time in office, and she's continued to do that in 2025. Look back at her most noteworthy fashion moments of the year, including here at January's inauguration ceremony. The first lady donned a navy blue Adam Lippes coat and skirt with an ivory blouse, topped with a dramatic Eric Javits hat, during the festivities at the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 20, 2025, in Washington, D.C.

"This is not a political film at all," Beckman said in an interview, adding that the first lady spearheaded the film's creative direction.

The movie highlights her fashion choices, diplomatic engagements and the operations surrounding her Secret Service protection. Beckman said viewers also will see moments that capture the president's sense of humor.

Ahead of the public theatrical release of the film next week, the president and first lady will attend a premiere on Thursday, Jan. 29, at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, renamed the Trump-Kennedy Center by the Trump-appointed board of directors.

The first lady is also scheduled to ring the opening bell at the New York Stock Exchange on Wednesday, Jan. 28 to promote the film, Beckman added.

Carly Pearce is being candid about her relationship with religion.

On Pearce's new single "Church Girl," which she released on Friday, Jan. 23, the country singer took a bold stance and opened up about her ever-changing relationship with her faith, in hopes that her fans will feel acceptance.

"I'm a girl who grew up in church, I grew up with faith being a very big part of my life, it still is a very big part of my life, but I think there are a lot of double standards with faith," Pearce, 35, tells PEOPLE exclusively.

"There's a lot of things that have happened in my life that maybe are not very pretty, none of us are perfect, and I've had to live that out in public," she continues. "And have felt as a Christian woman a lot of shame and guilt and judgment and confusion."

Ultimately, "Church Girl" is something she needed to hear when she was growing up and navigating her Christian-based values — like sexual purity.

"I [also] needed it when I was going through a very public relationship splitting, and 'Oh gosh, I feel like I've let God down of what marriage is,'" Pearce says. "So many different things in my life that I've been like, 'Well, does this mean I'm not a Christian? Does this mean that God hates me?'"

She continues, "I think what I have come to find for myself is I wish I could go back and tell her, 'You're okay, you're okay, and we're all on a journey. We're all figuring it out, and no matter where you're at on your journey, Jesus loves you. I know that.'"

But the song isn't entirely for her. During her writing sessions, the "What He Didn't Do" singer also kept her fans in mind — and her hope is that the music can provide a sense of solace.

"I wanted them to know, I don't judge you, I don't want you to feel shame, I don't want you to feel guilt," she says. "I want you to know that we're all human beings and you're welcomed here."

"Church Girl" follows the release of her November single "Dream Come True," which is an introspective reflection on the price of success.

"I don't want people to think I'm going to be just heavy and intense throughout the whole project, but I will say what these two songs are very boldly showing you what's to come," she says, adding that she "dug deep" and "didn't hold back."

In the process of writing her fifth studio album, which she says is coming in 2026, the "Every Little Thing" singer "uncovered parts" of herself that most people wouldn't know existed. This time around, Pearce is no longer writing from a place of wonder — she's writing from experience.

"It's being very self-aware of who I am and also reflecting back on a lot of different experiences in my life," she says. "I'm in an emotional place where I can talk about this, I feel confident enough to share this. I'm just in a really good space to put out songs like this. I don't think that I would be making this music at this time if I hadn't lived the last 10 years in the spotlight."

She adds, "So, I think these two songs just show you a little glimpse into the personal growth that I've had as a person and artist."

"Church Girl" is out now.
