The cast of A Few Good Men is remembering Rob Reiner as a lot more than just an iconic filmmaker.
Released in 1992, A Few Good Men remains Reiner's highest-grossing film, earning $243 million worldwide and four Academy Award nominations, including Best Picture—Reiner's only Oscar nod as a director.
The film, based on a Broadway play, starred Tom Cruise, Demi Moore, Kevin Bacon, Kiefer Sutherland, Christopher Guest, and Jack Nicholson (who won an Oscar himself for the role.)
Bacon, who played Capt. Jack Ross, shared an emotional tribute on Instagram on Monday, December 15, reflecting on how meaningful the project was to him. "I'm not sure how to do this," Bacon began the video. "Rob Reiner gave me a job in 'A Few Good Men' sometime in the 90s, and I was over the moon to get that job. People may or may not know but 'This Is Spinal Tap' is my all-time favorite movie. When he called me, I was just so thrilled. But the making of that movie was one of the best experiences I ever had on a set, he was so fun."

Demi Moore, who portrayed Lt. Cdr. JoAnne Galloway in the film, also shared her grief in an Instagram post the same day. "There are no words to truly express the unfathomable devastation of losing Rob and Michelle Reiner," she wrote. "Our kids grew up together, we worked together, and as our lives intertwined personally and professionally I will always cherish the moments and memories of what we shared."

Costar Kiefer Sutherland, also mourned Reiner, whom he previously worked with on Stand by Me. "Rob was one of the kindest gentleman I've ever had the pleasure of working with. When I was very young he gave me an opportunity that changed my life, and I will forever be grateful," he shared alongside a photo of the two on set.

Christopher Guest—a longtime collaborator who appeared in A Few Good Men and starred in This Is Spinal Tap and The Princess Bride—shared his grief through his wife, Jamie Lee Curtis. "Rob and Michele were a united team… I took this image of their beautiful partnership and love and stunning appreciation that this creative, familial life had led them there. This is an ungraspable tragedy and loss. Pray for strength for their children. The world is bereft without them," she wrote in her caption.

News of Reiner's death has sent shockwaves through Hollywood. Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the tragedy, which has also claimed the life of his wife, Michele Singer Reiner. It is believed that the Reiners were murdered by their son, Nick Reiner, after a reported heated argument at a Holiday Party. It is unclear at this time if that argument was the cause of the murders.
