New year, new Jennifer Lawrence.

The actress, 35, is kicking off 2026 with a fresh hairstyle. In addition to chatting about her newest film, Die My Love, with Josh Horowitz at 92NY on Wednesday, Jan. 7, Lawrence debuted brow-grazing bangs.

For the event, the Oscar winner wore a black mock-neck halter top and black trousers. She kept her accessories simple with pointed-toe black pumps and drop earrings.

Her signature blonde hair was styled sleek and straight with her bangs framing her face.

Lawrence's last red carpet appearance was at the 2025 Gotham Awards in New York City on Dec. 1, 2025. The actress opted for a sleek cropped blazer and a high-slit skirt by Christian Dior. She teamed the look with high-heel sandals, anklets and dangling earrings.

While One Battle After Another led the charge with six total nominations, Lawrence earned a nod for Outstanding Lead Performance alongside Ethan Hawke, Jessie Buckley, Tessa Thompson, Rose Byrne and Josh O'Connor.

While speaking about Die My Love at 92NY, Lawrence noted that she gets "anxiety" before filming a new movie and prefers filming intimate scenes with actors she didn't know prior.

The star revealed that for the Lynne Ramsay-directed drama, she shot a "naked sex tiger" scene with her costar Robert Pattinson, 39, on the first day of filming — something she said was made "easier" by the fact that the two had been strangers at the time.

"It was actually easier that way because Rob and I did not know each other, which is kind of better, you know?" Lawrence explained.

"Like in Hunger Games, like me and Josh Hutcherson would have to kiss, and that's like… imagine it," she said with a laugh. "You know, it's weirder, and so yeah, doing it with a stranger is preferable."

The actress also explained that she feels like acting can be "very embarrassing" — especially the "tiger" scenes that Ramsay had her do, where she and Pattison attacked one another like tigers. However, she recalled the "interpretive dance lessons" with Pattinson that helped her get into it.

"We got to Calgary like three weeks before we started shooting. Rob and I both [are] embarrassed very easily, and that was mortifying. It was, I mean, I'm not ... a dancer, Rob's [the] worst dancer," she recalled with a laugh.

"And, and it was like, now blow like a tree — like it was just so embarrassing. So I think by the time she was like, 'Yeah, get naked.' We were just kind of like, 'Okay, at least it's not interpretive dance…'"

In Die My Love, Lawrence stars as Grace, a "writer and young mother" who "is slowly slipping into madness" after moving from New York to rural Montana, according to a synopsis. The film follows her as she acts "increasingly agitated and erratic, leaving her companion, Jackson (played by Pattinson), increasingly worried and helpless."
