Is the next Beyoncé, Britney Spears or Justin Timberlake out there? "Star Search" wants your help to find out.
"Star Search," the television talent show from the 1980s and 90s that gave those celebrities — and others like Adam Sandler, Christina Aguilera and Dave Chappelle — their start, is back with a revival fit for the modern era.
The competition show highlights a cohort of musicians, dancers, comedians and other variety acts who perform live onstage. But this time around, viewers will get to vote live on which acts gets to advance and who's knocked out of the competition.
And unlike its predecessor from the cable age, the "Star Search" revival will air on Netflix. The streamer touts the reboot as building on the show's existing legacy while being fit for 2026 thanks to live voting that "directly shapes the competition as it unfolds."

"Star Search" Season 1 premieres on Tuesday, Jan. 20 at 9 p.m. EST.

How to watch 'Star Search'
Unlike its predecessor, which aired on cable, the "Star Search" revival is only available to watch on Netflix.
Netflix offers several subscription plans, including a standard with ads option for $7.99 per month and a standard without ads option for $17.99 per month.
'Star Search' judges, host
The revival will be hosted by "Black-ish" star Anthony Anderson.
He will be joined by three celebrity judges with plenty of Hollywood experience to boot: model and TV personality Chrissy Teigen, country music star Jelly Roll and longtime actress Sarah Michelle Gellar.

Viewers will be a sort of judge, too.
The show will have limited live voting windows while episodes air so fans can vote on whether or not acts should advance.
To vote, viewers will have to be using a supported device, which includes most newer smart TVs, streaming devices and mobile apps. Voting is not available on web browsers, per Netflix.
When it's time to vote, fans can follow the on screen prompts, which will direct them to give a 1-5 star rating for each of the performers.
Viewers can submit one rating per Netflix profile per performance, but voting does happen multiple times per episode. Votes can't be changed once submitted, and results are revealed live during the episode.
